Up on your rooftop
Able to jump
You’re counting planets
I’m feeling a lump
You sounded ready
I can’t help but try
To hold back words that
You may not like
A sugar rush and super nova light
Is blurring my hindsight
But love is something that you can’t quantify
I’m not ready for goodbyes
My mind is hazy
A set in a cage
The lights are burning
For minimum wage
The devil greets me
We get along fine
A girl can dream of
What should be mine
A sugar rush and super nova light
Is blurring my hindsight
But love is something that you can’t quantify
I’m not ready for goodbyes

Sometimes the production makes a record for me. The songwriting is awesome, and Steven John Marr did a awesome job capturing the band’s sounds. Love the fuzzed-out, overdriven guitars sounds on Garden, the Wedding Present-ish tones on Holdin’ To Your Breath, and on and on... theMichaelFrank
i forgot how good this record is, i picked up the vinyl at a record store figuring i would listen again eventually, and here i am the same night enjoying every track. definitely worth listening!! katt2

Slowcore, shoegaze, twee, and noise find their way into this ambitious full length from the St. Louis band Frankie Valet. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 9, 2020
Alvvays has always been great, but with this album they took it to the next level. Every one of these songs is lodged in my brain now, permanently (in a good way). s. moxley
